Residential SOLD Listings By Month

Posted on February 15, 2011

Here is a graph displaying the average number of closed sales per month for the past 4 years [February 1st, 2007 through January 31st, 2011] in Naples, per our local *Sunshine Multiple Listing System. Since this graph indicates closed sales it is interesting to note the peaks which occur each year shortly after our winter season. The number of listings that sold peaked at over 400 closed sales per month

Is it February already?

Posted on February 01, 2011

Chip & I have been working non-stop since the first week of January. This is the time of year when we make hay because the sun is shining---and it's not shining in other parts of the country, which is pretty obvious by the number of leads we are fielding each day from the snowy north. Inquiries are up across the board. The flurries fall and the phone starts to ring!

Slow and Steady

The headline reads, "Economists: Slow recovery on tap", but when you read further, much of today's front page article in USA Today is much more promising than not...Although 63% of the economists say the recovery is slow and gradual, Two-thirds say existing home sales have hit bottom! Bill Cheney, chief economist at MFC Global Investment said that since both the housing and car markets fell so sharply, both have the

The Biggest Net

Posted on July 17, 2009

I've written a lot of posts about the size of the net that Coldwell Banker casts to ensure our listings are exposed to the most prospective buyers around the world...Just this week at The Tech Tour that I attended in Estero I learned that The NaplesRealEstate.com Team listings are posted on over 350 websites. I can't imagine any other brand with that kind of dominance on the Internet! Chip &

Naples Real Estate 1st Quarter Statistics

Pending home sales are at their highest point since 2005! It has always been my contention that the best barometer to judge the "temperature" of the market is by studying pending sales. The first quarter of 2009 came and

I thought I'd share a few more stats with those readers who have called and asked questions about specific neighborhoods and the market in general. In the first week of November 2007 the local multiple listing system reported 98 residential properties going under contract (also known as
